Engaging children with prayer

Good evening. In my studies I have always seen that those before us were to pass on what they had discovered to their ancestors. Now why do you think they were told to do that. Proverbs 22:6 tells me " Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will never depart from it" Now When Joshua was told to go into the promised land he was told to take the rocks from the river and stack them on top of each other. Why so every time they went out with young men they could tell them about what God had done through Moses. Well guess what happened, they forgot to tell them. So what do you think happened. The message never got passed on, and since the message never got passed on they started to make the same mistakes that they had made before. This same thing goes on today. many have forgotten of passing on the message as it was written and spoken. So many have changed the story to please the listener. Why, because we want people to feel comfortable, and not uncomfortable but you know where comfortable leads you straight to hell and bondage. You see the truth well it sets you free. I cant even begin to express the importance of teaching our kids to pray. It is the beginning of the story to redemption.
