1 John 3:7-8 is an interesting verse for today. It says "Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning." Today discernment is of the utmost importance. Weigh everything against Gods word. (Hebrews 5:14) is a good verse as well James 1:5 There was a well known painter and art dealer his name was Eric Hebborn. He drew over a thousand drawing's and paintings and sold them for amazing sums of money to collectors as well as museums. Here's the problem, they thought they were buying the real deal. It was nearly impossible to tell they were fake. If this man could fool some of the most accomplished artist's and collectors. How much more do you think the devil can fool those that are not constantly in Gods word. Many feel they know Gods word but many have never read the the words in context and content in the original. I would tell you this the believer who is always asking for understanding and allows the Holy Spirit to speak clearly and precisely and listen's to everything it says in correction and in mercy and grace, applying all things through Christ. watch what happens.
